Woodbridge/Vaughan Periodontics & Implants was established about 15 years ago. Together, Drs. Shievitz and Romanelli strive to increase patient awareness about periodontal health and disease, with an emphasis on disease prevention, treatment and replacement of lost teeth by implants.
Years of experience practicing periodontics has clearly demonstrated to both periodontists that many patients are entirely unaware of periodontal disease and of the dangers and consequences untreated periodontal disease can have on the rest of their dental and general health, and dental treatment success.
This reality is what inspires and drives our Woodbridge periodontists to work with patients and their general dentists to improve and maintain periodontal (gum and bone) health, while focusing on prevention to reduce the risk of future periodontal disease.
At Woodbridge/Vaughan Periodontics & Implants we also strive to prevent tooth loss due to periodontal disease, and if possible, replace lost teeth using dental implants.

Dr. Shievitz’s goals as a dental professional are simple yet profound; through patient education and individualized care, he seeks to increase patient awareness about periodontal health and disease. Throughout his close to 30 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. Shievitz has found that many patients are surprisingly unaware of periodontal disease and the damaging effects it can have on their health and on their dental treatment.
